As a child, I always wondered what my intentions would be in life. It was an unsolved question to me for many years. Being born and raised in Iran, I always heard people talk about political corruption, prices skyrocketing, inequality, and lack of freedom. As I grow older, and I had to face with these problems myself; I got to define a goal in my life. I dreamed of becoming the president so I could solve all these issues and make the country a better place to live.
Little did I know, in the country I belong to, women do not have the right to make important personal decisions yet alone become the leader of the country. The unfortunate news hit me as a shock; however, it only led me to become more rigorous towards what I have aimed for. It was like daring a kid to do something fanatic; the limitations make it so much more rewarding if I am able to achieve this out-of-reach goal. I decided to become someone who can make a difference around me.
I have realized that I can be a more content person by fulfilling my goals and taking on the many challenges of life, rather than giving in when one faces various hardships.
I moved to Kuwait at the age of 16 where I pursued a dual degree in Management and Marketing at the American University of Kuwait. Later, I transferred to the University of San Francisco after three years, from where I have received my Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. During my time at USF, I was a key researcher and writer for "Fifty NFTE," a Bay Area green-business textbook written for NFTE Biz Camp, along side my duties as a coach for the camp. I had been volunteering at Oakland Youth Aspire, a non-profit organization in West Oakland, dedicating my time as the Marketing Director and had also hosted events and fundraisers for both OYA and EOBA- another non-profit organization in California.
My passion for entrepreneurship, coupled with international experience, has steered me to pursue further education through Master of Global Entrepreneurship and Management program in three different continent in hopes to broaden my horizon and to expand my understanding of different cultures. I graduated from the University of San Francisco (USA), Fu-Jen Catholic University (Taiwan), and Universitat Ramon Llull IQS (Spain). During my master studies, I began my journey in marketing at Ashoka in Barcelona. Later I assisted in the POP marketing research at Monster Cable, studying the marketing expansion in San Francisco Bay Area.
After my graduation, I decided to move to Asia to learn more about the culture and business in Asia. Therefore, I attended Donghua University in Shanghai to learn Mandarin. While mastering Mandarin, I also joined SeedAsia, an incubator startup to help provide global investors the opportunity to co-invest into Asia's tech startups through an online platform.
After living in Asia for a few years, I decided to move to Spain to broaden my knowledge of Spanish market while currently attending Spanish classes at University of Barcelona.
